Durres Port Authority for the protection of technical security requires defense of qualified service and technical work conditions .The Port is considered with high risk level in performing the operations which taking place within it. For this purpose Durres Port Authority works in compliance with the law of the port and Albanian laws and rules “On work safety &health at work place” and in accordance with all current international standards which Albania adheres.
Also working to implement management system to protect the health and safety OHSAS 18001: 2007.
What is OHSAS?
Means structure for managing the risks and problems related to health and safety at work. Means the level of management commitment to continuous improvement of health safety performance of Port .The Authority represented in this direction by providing technical inspectorate who follows these tasks according to Albanian legislation and the EC regulations for this area.
